6MPCA Advanced Melt Flow System
The 6MPCA is an automatic instrument for determining the melt index (MFR), equipped with a piston displacement sensor. A large, moisture- and dust-proof display shows data, test results and comments. The instrument includes two test procedures – determination of the melt flow index (MFI) and material density at the test temperature.
Complies with standards: GOST 11645-73, ASTM D1238 (Methods A and B), ISO 1133
The RR/6MPCA semi-automatic plastometer is the most advanced melt flow index measurement instrument in the Ray-Ran range.
The test procedure is as follows. The user sets the test parameters, after which the polymer melt is extruded through a die. A special sensor (angle encoder) precisely determines the piston displacement during polymer extrusion and automatically starts the test when the piston reaches the appropriate position.
The control unit allows test parameters such as the user name, material identification number and batch number to be saved for subsequent analysis. If it is necessary to carry out material quality control using a ‘pass/fail’ test, upper and lower limits can be set, the plastometer can be connected to a computer, and the results can be monitored in real time.
